For android if you leave custom map on and don't have it just replace map files it can cause your character to go poof in the town map and cause the game to crash. I got it fixed after messing around with it for a while. Also great map love it a bunch
It's OK there aren't a lot of mod compatibility done mobile wise. Just wanted to do a shout out that it does work just have it replace files incase any other mobile player would like to use your map
What intro event? Or do you mean the standard intro where Robin takes you to your new place from the bus stop? Cos if there's an event separate from that, I didn't see it.
Thank you, I get it now. And I love this map, BTW. I'm using it in two different saves so far.
Oh, has anyone reported that it's possible to walk right off the bridges onto the water in numerous places? Doesn't hinder my enjoyment at all, I just make a point to be careful crossing bridges, but I thought you'd like to know.
The bridge to the west, up near the quarry and the waterfall. You can walk right off and so can animals, it's weird seeing my cow just standing in the river.
Hmm. This is strange, because I just checked and there's absolutely stuff to prevent walking off there. Hmmm... do you play with the "tillable grass" setting on? If so, can you still walk off the bridge with it off?
Hey, you may want to remove "translation" from this mod's tags. It isn't for mods that have multiple language options, it's for mods that are just translations. So people who don't want to find just translations will block that tag from their search and never see it.
Yeah I have not redone the maps for 1.6 /at all/. The wonderful N3cro92 has made a version of the map for DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolor, and other than that the maps are just. Not doing great right now. Even without remapping/Ridgeside. Anyone who wants to pixel art some maps and publish them as their own supplementary mod has my blessings for that (or they could give them to me and I'd add them to the main mod crediting them and all)
Hi. I thanks for replying. I wonder if its possible to have an option to turn the map added to be turn off? I rather turn that off right now if possible. Thank you.
would it be possible to get a version of this map with no dirt/grass instead of the yellow dirt plots? if not that's totally ok I just would have an easier time decorating ^_^
See below. Maybe one day in the future possibly, but I literally made this map because I liked having dirt plots better than not and everyone else was making full grass maps. You can make that variation yourself in Tiled though
thanks for letting me know :D you did a really awesome job with this map. it's so hard to find ones that balance size and accessibility vs also looking natural and not like a giant square. I think that this farm + Stardew Druid and you basically got a druid's dream wild farm

Yup, that's on me, stand by for a hotfix. (Or you can open content.json in the mod folder, find the "yes" and replace "yes" with "true" and "no" with "false" yourself, that's what I'm doing)
This is a beautiful farm! I'm currently in the middle of a game, but definitely want to use this for my next one. Any chance you'd consider making a full-grass option? I don't hate the yellow dirt, but I much prefer grass, lol. Definitely one of the best farms I've come across and I plan to use it either way, lol, but I figure it can't hurt to ask. Thanks for the great map!
The chance is non-zero, heard and noted, but I'll be honest, the prevalence of full-grass farms was a large part of the reason I made this one at all. I wanted a dirt farm with the occasional grass on the edges. (Note that Tiled, the map editor that works with SDV map files like the ones in this mod, is fairy easy to use, and the change you want is pretty quick to make. The fuckiest part is copying the map files over to a new folder, copying the base game tilesheets there too, THEN editing, and THEN copying the resulting map files back over to the mod folder)
Fair enough. It is a wonderful map. I'm afraid just getting my game modded at all is about the extent of my technological abilities. Thanks so much for the response!
Love this map. I noticed I can walk into the river from the bridge (but not from the shore), and into the water from the small beach - I can also hoe in those waters. Haven't checked all the areas for this since I am in very early game.
You can hoe in the water if you've enabled Tillable Grass in config, yeah, I was curious if anyone would notice that capability ^^ think of it as a nice easter egg! (I could make water not tillable but that'd take a bunch of work and I'm pretty sure you have to try on purpose to discover that ability so it shouldn't be distracting or game breaking if you're not trying, right >.>)
The little beach is intended to be a swimming sport, but you shouldn't be able to walk into the water from the bridge, the tiles are marked as impassable. Do you have the Swim mod installed? The map is configured to play nice with it as best I could, but it does break some things.
(And you put on a swimsuit and dive when going in from the beach, right? Right??? 1.6 didn't break that, did it???)
I don't have the swim suit mod installed. Do I need it to go swimming at the beach? I accidentally hoed off the bridge, meant to grab my fishing rod. I can still walk off the bridge - is that connected to the fact that I made grassy spots tillable?
UPDATE: I switched off Tillable Grass and I can no longer walk off the bridge nor can I hoe the water. I can also go swimming in the ocean now.
ANOTHER UPDATE: I still have Tillable Grass at false, but after the first day where I could not walk off the bridge, the next day and going forward, I could still walk off the bridge. I can't hoe the water though and the beach area works properly.
Alright, thank you. The walking off the bridge thing is mysterious and warrants investigation, that's not supposed to happen. You don't need any additional mod to swim at the beach! Entering the water should change you into your swimsuit and dive you same as in the bathhouse at the railroad. The Swim mod enables you to swim anywhere there's water, and it does some fuckery to enable you to swim under/through bridges, that's what I was talking about.
(Without being able to walk off the bridge and with properly diving you shouldn't be able to reach the water while fully dressed to hoe it. I'm not fixing that, I'm fixing the other part that's the bigger problem)
(This is not game breaking though, right? You can just... not do that, while I'm investigating)
Not game breaking at all. The only issue I am experiencing is that I walk off the bridge - can't hoe. As an aside, I use the left side across the bridge for the coop and barn. Any chance of making the bridge an invisible gate as well so they don't wander across?
Well you see, theoretically, it IS. They already shouldn't. (And if you use this mod with NPCA, you can see this in action as the NPCs refuse to follow you across the bridge and just stay on the other side) But these invisible gates don't always work the way they should )=

I have the same issue. I did delete the config file, but the message is still showing up. It doesn't seem to affect gameplay, though. I'm not mod literate on how to correct this myself. I do want to say that you've done a magnificent job on this mod, thank you for upgrading it to 1.6. Beautiful work!
Thank you so much for adding the config to remove the flowers and trees on the west side of the map! My character always used to get stuck on the flowers and I had wished they were passable or removable. I had my barns and coops on that side of the farm and this offers so much more flexibility!

...What 'bridges'? There's just one bridge on the entire map...
(thank you!!! I'm super happy you like it!!!)
